Post production - Editing

The editing process for our group was fairly straight forward. Patrick, is a keen editor and has a lot of expereince in doing editing, so we worked together to edit our film efficiently. We made decisions on what sound effects to use and at which point. We used Final Cut Pro to edit our film, something we were familiar with.

Our sound was a critical part of post production, so we had to make sure that it was revelant and effective in our film. We eventually decided on a suspense sound effect, to set the mood for our film. This ambiance signified it was a thriller, mysterious genre. We increased the frequency of cuts, as the tension and suspense in our film grew. Shot reverse shot was an example of this, as we only used short cuts to show facial expression of the characters. This was effective in building suspense up to the point when the money exchanges hands.

  1. Look carefully at this as a blog post. there is no imagery and no video embedded. You have an opportunity on such a post to really impress. Video your selves having discussions about decisions you make about how you edit the final film.
Screengrabs to illustrate your 3 continuity examples in the film
Evidence of you in the editing suite
In the discussion of sound - an image of the website and a link to it for where you got the non diegetic sound.

    and so on.
